Who's your favorite character in Cave Story?

I always liked Dr. Gero.
The fact that he got almost no character development never surprised me, but I've always enjoyed the part of the game where you see him.

 

There is too many to choose. I like the dragon because he/she is cute. Curly is cool as well. The Hermit is a crazy...which obviously means he is cool?? It's too hard to decide

 

This is actually my first post here... So, uh, hi! XD

My favorite character is probably Quote. I've always loved the silent heroes, and I love his design and think he's adorable. =P

A close second would be King. When I first played, I thought he was a complete jerk and really didn't like him, but by the time you see him last, I understood his character better and I think he's pretty cute, too.

Other characters I really like are Jenka, Misery, and Kazuma.

Mine is probably Curly Brace, she shows the biggest variety of emotions in the story, and gives Quote more voice, as well as providing one of the only deep connections he forms with anyone on the island.

But that's just me, I want to know your favorite :3

mine is Balrog. he is hilarious with his 'Huzzah!' meme.

 

Definatley Balrog. He's a likeable character that isn't shoved in your face alongside his catch phrase like most comic relief villains.

I like the destroyed robot that warns you about the core. It can change the game greatly, because you have to find the tow rope before talking to him, or you screw up the whole journey to the blood stained sanctum thing. Also, it really shows the difference in programming compared to Quote and Curly.

 

Mine would have to be Balrog. I love how he says HUZZAH! He never got annoying even though I had to fight him 4 times. And if he was real he would probably be a war machine. Think about it, he probably weighs 3 tons yet he can probably jump 12 feet and run at 30 miles per hour. And I don't even know how to explain flying!

Actually, I'm pretty sure that you can pick the tow rope up after, or even during the fight. That is, of course, if you don't try to help/kill Booster.

Kazuma entirely out of chatecter design.
Toroko due to her personality.
King because of how much he changes throughout the story, at first I thought of him as a generic unlikable town leader guy, but by the end he is one of my favorites.

My would have to be the Hermit. He's a mysterious character who expresses his feeling with you in the end (Suggesting you aren't a jerk and don't kill Curly). At first you think he's some sleepy old geezer and take his only form of self-defense, and use it for your own self gain, but he isn't a jerk. He feels what you've been through, and feels sympathy. He then takes his weapon back, just to upgrade it, and give it back to you.
