Who's your favorite character in Cave Story?

That is if you don't trade it for a seemingly superior machine gun, or trade it for a weapon that can pass through walls. (personally the Snake is my favorite of the Polar Star trades)

In all of my play-throughs of CS, I've never once traded for either of those.

I've never taken the Machine Gun, out of my 5 play-throughs, I've taken the Spur twice and the Snake three times. I guess I really just like it more for speedruns of Hell really, charging the Spur takes time after all.

Machine Gun makes Sand Zone and the Toroko+ Boss really easy. Still prefer the Spur, though :o

The spur is my favorite character too :o

At least the spur comes 2nd to Curly.

Fine, I got it once, for some reason didn't like it, (Yes, even at level 3) and since I hadn't saved, I went back and got the Polar Star and then later, got the Spur.

(I missed the Labyrinth Shop entirely, and was curious to see what happened if you went back to the first cave)

My favorite was always Misery. She seemed to be destined for a terrible life though. I mean her mom named her Misery! If that isn`t a bad sign then nothing is. And she made for a fun boss fight. (This is my first post, if im doing something wrong let me know)

Actually, that would increase another problem that I have with it. If you look past the charging time, it really is powerful, which while I wouldn't call it broken, well what you said above certainly would be.

Point being, I just prefer the Snake.

I dunno. Perhaps for the same reason people get named 'Autumn', 'Rivers' or 'Fork'? They are nice sounding words, so parents just re-purpose them as names. A spot of poor decision making on Jenka's part here, but I'm sure she had good intentions.

Maybe she's going to hell.

But in all seriousness, I do find her my most favorite character in the game. She's cute, and well, she's one of the main characters. She would kick Curly's trashy blonde metallic ass any day, she's beaten up her brother before, you know!

Beta Sue also seems badass beyond belief. I love those little markings below her eyes, makes her seem so aggressive, and vigilant. Plus, she has a pretty cool vest / shirt. Why degrade Sue so much pixel? She looked wonderful in Beta.

Busty Demon Sue = Sweet moves, can tell she has a nice ass, got some overrated large funbags, and she's partly human. Makes it all arousing to the eye, while you shoot the living fuck out of her, pixellated style - baybay~!

Human Sue - Very tan, or black. I don't know. Who the fuck are you?
