if harper is PM again I'll eat my own ass
According to 308 mulcair stands a good chance, the NDP's swagger has really gone up over the last few months. Maybe Trudeau pissed off some people with that C51 thing. It would be exciting to see an Orange government for a change.

Prime Minister of Britain, I'm assuming? I haven't the faintest clue, I don't follow British politics. Regardless of who it is, they have to be better than Trump.

Yes. Stephen Harper is definitely the prime minister of Britain. For sure.

Nah I'm pretty sure Goku's just a regular pm

Also I had to delete my vote because apparently he's less obscure than Fortin

Justin Trudeau, huh. I've heard occasional unfavorable remarks towards Stephen Harper, but I don't know enough about the makeup of Canada to say much about either. Were you expecting the latter to win?

I was hoping the conservatives wouldn't win another, but the threat was a split between the NDP and the liberals.
But after the turnout tonight it seems that everyone else was thinking the same thing, so the vote went overwhelmingly to the liberal party with the NDP losing many of their seats. The conservatives also lost a handful of important ridings, maybe because people don't have faith in harper.
Remember that in canada, you don't vote for the Prime Minister, you vote for your representative, the MP. Whichever party has the most representatives in the house controls the government.

Still, I don't think anybody could have predicted such a landslide for the liberals, what with them taking third party in the last election.

Should I rename this thread? Every time I look at the name of this thread I find myself expecting British PMs, not Canadian ones.

Britain was definitely not what I was thinking of when I saw the title of this thread, but of course, coming from Canada and all...

I never even hear of users here talking about British politics. So far it just seems to be Canada and US that are all the rage.

But yeah, maybe insert "Canadian" in the title if it's that misleading.

Voting was a strange experience, I vote NDP today, a shame they didn't win, but hey, we'll see how Trudeau does his thing.
