Re: What's the story behind your nickname?

How does his being white make him not German? And am I correct in thinking that Schokobecher is short for "Schokolade Becher" which translates to "Chocolate mug"?

Re: What's the story behind your nickname?

Well, he's very shiny, and he looks like a ghost, and his gender is ambiguous.
And he wanted to make his name sound more German.
That pretty much sums it up, I think.

you sure?

well...

*ahem*

when I was a strapping (strapless, rather) young lad, I decided to join these forums for the general betterment of all. However, being young and stupid and immature, I thought I was better then everyone and could convince them that I was a girl. I didn't go as far as pretending to be 19 (cough, cough), but decided to choose a name that seemed girly. so lace.

a few months later, I realized that this was stupid, and introduced mahself to db as afreet (-> a free t -> one free tea) and when I actually started posting (3 months later) it was to the general confusion of myself.

but nobody else, really.

other nicknames include afreet, one free tea, anon, lacyface, and embarrasingly, dyne (that forum got deleted, thankfully) and aequitas.

you asked for it.

What's wrong with dyne that you're so thankful of the forum's deletion?

Also, I think it's cool that some people have mentioned their other usernames on other forums and such so...

Re: What's the story behind your nickname?

whadd'ya mean "was"??

Hehehe...

Yeah, I remember my first forum, it was the RuneScape forums (with my username being deathdoomer2). Aside from the fact that my spelling/grammar made odin look like a fucking genius, I actually wasn't all that nooby. If I remember correctly, my first post was a thread I created with an obnoxiously long-winded list of all the things I thought should be added to/improved upon in RuneScape. The first reply was someone replying with the single word "confused".

Re: What's the story behind your nickname?

The story behind Kage's nickname: he's a weeaboo.

Anyway, the ridiculous story behind mine:
Two friends and I were playing Rock Band one day. I arrived at the house after the band was named (Teh Ballz, because my friends are brilliant) and the other two members were created (a pimp and a lumberjack), so I joined the band with my friends, and named my character Mr. Anderson and gave him a trenchcoat and glasses as soon as I could afford it.
However, I got bored of the Matrix reference and wanted to put on some more expensive clothing, so I decided to outfit Mr. Anderson with pink clothes. I gave him pink shades, pink elbow-length rubber gloves, pink fuzzy boots, pink leather pants (wtf?), a pink fauxhawk, pink heart earrings, a pink cape, no shirt and a giant penis tattoo stretching from his crotch to his chest.
Thus Captain Fabulous was born, and Mr. Anderson was quickly renamed (although it had to be CaptainFabulous because Rock Band can only handle 15 characters). Since then I have used Captain Fabulous (or CptFabulous) for nearly every nickname online. It's great because it's gender ambiguous and I can mess with people's homophobia and prejudices, and also because it's hardly ever taken.

Hello, everyone!
In this game, people give a brief yet comprehensible explanation all about their online pseudonym (and perhaps any others as well). This includes what it means, why they chose it, etc...

I'll start. I (and many other people) believe I'm an idiot, so thats explains 'Idiotic'. 'Baka' is Japanese for 'Idiot', so as well as adding emphasis, it's a tiny little tribute to Cave Story, which was originally Japanese. '1824' has something to do with my real name and alphanumeric code, but I won't explain what exactly because one of you might crack it and post my real name somewhere to prove you can, which might lead to trouble for me because my online identity is a secret from many people I know in real life.

Have fun explaining your pseudonyms!

(Maybe I should refer to it as a 'username' instead...?)

(Edit: To anyone who thinks this post is weird, I had tried starting a new thread without knowing about this one. It was merged later. Thanks for that, whoever did it, and sorry for forgetting to check beforehand.)

i first got the first part of my name (spirit-) because I thought that spirits and shiz were p cool and I really liked Pikachu at the time and Thunderbolt is it's signature move so I went to a certain forum and signed up with the name Spiritbolt
and that's how I got Spirit-
the (-Drifter) part is from Hyper Light Drifter and that's all that needs to be said
