The point is about the impact of the phrase, saying that when taken literally it's meaningless. Blowing things out of proportion highlights how silly extremes can be, which I think is funny. That's just my style of comedy.
Oh, okay. Sorry! I have a hard time picking up on those types of things. I swear I'm not an idiot. :p

I guess it's just not comedy for everyone. :)
You're definitely not a lunatic, though.
With this I don't mean to rub salt into the wound or whatever that saying was. I'm just exaggerating to show my point better.

Let's just make our own translation wwwwwwwww
I wonder when that'll ever actually be arranged, though... Especially when we have like, 5 active members here who speak Japanese.

Duplicate threads are convenient for me because it lets me give the appearance of being super active and engaged in the community's conversations by just lazily copy-pasting what I wrote last time this discussion came up, and anyone who either has a bad memory or hasn't been around longer than a year or so won't notice.

Being who? If there are actually like 3 or 4 fluent Japanese/English speakers willing to work on a translation project then it could actually end up being of fairly high quality.
I'm sure the other 4 would speak up, if they're still active.
