Speaking of cars, I saw a Beetle the other day that had it's driver-side door painted eerily like the eye door.

Usually when a memento is given to the hero by the lead female (in anime at least) it's some sort of ribbon or charm or little statue or something. A hunk of Lovetanium seems a little out of place.

Maybe the Iron Bond was one of Curly's electronic components that she didn't need?

Why would she have an electronic component she didn't need? That's like... um... installing a cup holder inside an elevator.

Or maybe during the times she had nothing to do, she built it.

I think the Iron Bond is a button to activate silent mode. Curly gave it to Quote so she wouldn't press it, and so Quote would to get his voice back.

That's wrong on so many levels, I don't know where to start... Well, first, BUTTONS DON'T WORK THAT WAY! A button is an electrical device whose function is to open/close a circuit when pressed. Standing alone, it has no defined function other than it's "natural" one. Also, Quote didn't "lose" his voice. There are numerous events throughout the game which clearly state that he, in fact, can talk. Then there's the whole "mute button present on a robot's body" issue which is totally ridiculous. Okay, being able to turn my robot's voice off is not a bad idea, but only when it's not able to turn it back on...

There's more, but I hope this is just enough.

Why does everyone always think that Quote can't talk? Sure you never see his dialogue, but there are several occurrences where he explains things to people or they respond to something that it is implied that he said.

Some people just have a poor imagination, I guess. Or have trouble not taking things literally.

Quote can't talk because he's a fat nigger.
