ACTUALLY---Since nicalis remade cave story on nintendo systems, it is possible for this. Besides, how do you think sonic and snake got on SSBB?EDIT: Cave story 3D, Sonic generations, and MGS: snake eater 3D.

Cave Story was created by a man named Nicholas using Game Maker 7 (sorry, not RPG Maker, but you were close). The name "Nicholas" was already taken as a company name, so he took Nicalis instead.
Cave Story for the 3DS was invented by Shigiru Miamoto of course, the CEO of Nintendo, using RPG Maker.

All Nicalis had to do is port RPG Maker into 3D for the 3DS; maybe you should google this stuff before you post it's pretty basic knowledge
