Kid Icarus and Pikmin were a mite more popular than Cave Story. That's why they're in there. If Quote were in the next Super Smash Bros. game, 95% of gamers would say "Who the fuck is this?" and 5% would say "ZOMFG SPOILERS, NINTENDO!" I mean, what can they call him? Mr. Traveler?
Of course, Ike and Marth made it. Maybe Nintendo really will let anyone in there.

would still need Booster. machine gun would be too inefficient as a recovery. maybe for extra float to dodge an attack, but it wouldnt work too well trying too get back on the stage.

That would be dumb. Like 50% of them would be clones, and it would be boring even if it were done.

Seconded. agreed, cave story is great. and there needs to be at least one Mimiga *coughKanpachicough* but still, a game made with just CS chars would get boring fast.

And i also think that you could play as that sparkling dog you see before you
fight ballos and as a final smash he could call in all of jenkas
dogs and when ever there about to disappear they blink and explode.
although i dont know what his normal moves would be
