Anyway if it was yours you'll need to punish it immediately or else it'll do it again. Punish-reward. Do not beat the cat as a punishment (or not hard since it might backfire, it's usually enough to hit the ground or objects near them), make loud noises, punish them with water etc...and reward them when they behave well. My cats used to follow orders almost like dogs, because in my freetime I train them (they even "stay" like dogs in the same place if you order them). It is easy to make a cat behave good with love,
Is the cat vaccinated and such? Your wounds must be threated well, maybe even with antibiotics.
If the cat was not yours and angering the cat wasn't your fault tell the owner that it'd be good if he took the cat 2 da vet.
Probably was just a misunderstanding between you and the cat though.
