Video Games Live is an orchestra that tours around the world playing video game music. They came to my city last May, and it was awesome (although apparently I know dick all about video game music, never having owned a console). If you're reading this and thinking "Meh, symphonies aren't really my thing," YOU ARE WRONG! If you play video games, symphonies are now your thing. I can't even express how awesome these guys are. Just browse around YouTube.

I was going to say I don't care, but I can't because I liked their cover of the Castlevania theme.

Whatever.

They do all the popular games. Sonic, MGS, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, Halo, Final Fantasy, and more.
Of course, not all these games have the best music in the world (although they all have good songs) (except Star Fox), VGL can't do lesser known games or they'd lose their audience. But by god, if they started playing Moonsong I'd cream myself.

Who in God's holy name and Satan's unholy name doesn't like symphonies?

Ah, right.

I think I've already heard of this group before....
Haven't they done some SSBM soundtracks?
But, yeah, orchestrating your favorite game tracks = Epic.

Huh...

Somehow I was expecting something more like TransSiberian Orchestra...

Not bad, though, wish I could get some of these on CD. Or on my Ipod.
