As someone who lives in Texas, this is a very accurate depiction of Texas.

I'll play it as soon as I get my computer back, because I want to see how well it is described. I could help with the level design and descriptions. Unless you live in Texas as well.

Cool update, I found some things, including some things that are still present that I forgot to note;
• At the beginning of the Grasstown section, there are some floating blue...things. You should check them out.
• Some dialogues have a few line breaks, and Balrog's dialog also includes a line that is too long for the text box.
• The facepic of the person in the village has some transparent pixels due to too dark pixels. This may only be present in fullscreen.
• The exit back to the Texas area(from the building with squidward) is still glitchy, try leaving that area and you will see it.
• The door that appears after beating Balrog disappears when leaving the area, even though still actively working.
• The doors are bit glitchy in the village, including some doors not opening and some opening when not using them.

I believe you're thinking of Arizona. There were hardly any cacti in Texas when I went there.

As long as there's no major shortage of cameras on this planet, Google will remain your only true friend.

I did a search and I kept getting the Texan flag...
...which isn't Texas...
...Yeah, don't do Google, just make it Canada instead.

For a landscape like that, it makes me almost want to withstand the drive the next time I were to travel there for a business trip.
