But otherwise I loved it! It was great and I only died like 7 times!

+Added Portuguese (Português Brasileiro) translation
+Laser beam no longer "droops" when standing on entities
+Gravity slightly reduced for Tess, should make jumping easier a bit (more air-time)
+Flyers in Shanty Town have been slightly nerfed to make easier to kill and slightly less aggressive
+Nerfed the hammers in the final boss, no longer 1hit KO (still do a lot of damage though)
+Jump made more responsive/no longer has 1 frame delay
+Fixed a minor bug that occurred when switching between languages
+Translated key names for "UP", "DOWN", "SHIFT", "SPACEBAR", etc
+Migrated game input from KeyListener to Key Bindings
+Fixed sound and music engine to work if master gain controls aren't supported
+Also fixed the music player to use a larger buffer size for transfering data to the audio line (it was using a 4 byte buffer before, I don't know why)

I finally got around to playing this.

Great job, for only having a months worth of time, you did quite well, I don't even remember getting as much done in the first month of DoR2's dev.


I liked how the art was simple and abstract, I did gasp seeing the cut-scene before the boss... it does still some theological questions most certainly.

I only died 3 times, once to a pit in the last area, once to a foe in the last area, and once to the boss.


Great little gem you've made GiR, 7/10

Theological questions? What? Also don't you mean "instill"?

But, uh, glad you enjoyed the game anyways. Although I find your review at odds with that "7/10" that you tacked onto the end of your post.

Rating systems are weird, personally I can see how that review would lead to a 7/10 but most people start a game off at 10/10, then subtract points for every few flaws. Bombchu just didn't list any flaws.

Great game, and I only died a bajillion times to the final boss, the "Crusher" attack on the last few hits is annoying; the only other deaths I had were on the enemies on the last few screens. Once I found out that the first weapon slows the walking ones & that being close to the "sitting ones" is a good strategy, I had an easier times
I think I died about 30 times.

Yeah the maps were made in a custom-made version of booster's lab (the game uses tiles for graphics, but not for the physical "map" itself). That's the main reason why Noxid appears in the credits.

Finally finished putting together this patch.

Achievements have been added to the game now, and are compatible with GameJolt/sync up with GameJolt. Also, “Mirror Mode” was added, which unlocks when you get 5 achievements.

This was actually a really good idea!

Yeah the hidden ending has been in the game ever since its initial release.

Bugfix for Tess ver 1.0.0.9


There was a major memory leak in how the game was trying to detect if the player had a gamepad connected in the last release that would most likely bring the player's computer to a grinding halt if they weren't using a gamepad.

The download's been updated to fix this. Please re-download the game if you've downloaded ver 1.0.0.9 prior to reading this notice.

(Also the korean readme was updated)
