• Most people probably don't realise this, but this forum has had two editors for a number of years. One is the xenForo default editor, and the other is a custom editor I made years back I called BBCEd.

    All the settings for which editor you use was lost during the upgrade. You can find the setting under Account Settings > Preferences > Editor.

I seem to notice a theme of "Tess sitting and being sad" going on here. But the latter part might just be Tess's default state.

I've been working on the light engine for Tess 2 a bit. Note that these maps/gifs are just for demonstration purposes, as the old maps won't appear in Tess 2 at all.

Not sure why I haven't played this up until now, or a few days ago.
I think I much prefer this over Rip, since it didn't have the game-play this did.
I'd be very interested to see what a sequel holds.

P.S. Why is unluckyrabbit.ogg from Rip in the game-files? AFAIK it's not used in-game.

Did you play the tutorial? Its music track is called "Tale of the Unlucky Rabbit", which sounds like the file you are referring to. The tutorial is optional from the getgo, so you may not have heard it because you skipped it. I'm not in a place where I can verify what that file is though. (On mobile)

I think you miss-understood me.
unluckyrabbit.org FROM Rip is in Tess' game files.
Hopefully that makes more sense.

I must have forgotten to take it out of the folder when making the game. I'm surprised that's gone unnoticed for this long.
I only noticed because I look trough all the files of the games I finish just to see how the sprites, scripts, and other files work.
What did you use to edit the scripts in Tess/Rip?

Notepad. But they're compiled into a condensed format with a special program that Noxid and I wrote.

It probably wouldn't be hard to write a decompiler for them, since it's a pretty simple format. But I don't really have any reason to, as I have the source files.
