sword or nemeis?

Well, the 100 missiles are easier to level up,
They aren't really easier to level up considering that if you have the Super Missiles, you've had the whole B1 and B3 to level it up, whereas if you get the regular 100 missiles, you only have the tale end of B3, and if you're not speed running, the statue chamber to level up the regular missile launcher before the battle with Ballos begins. And sometimes the statue chamber gives you ammo and health instead of power crystals.

I wonder if I'm alone in this (...probably), but here's what I do: if I'm going for the regular ending then I take the Nemesis (and yes, as Hayden said, it's no disrespect to King since who else would you think you're being the Nemesis, i.e. vengeance, of?), however if I'm going for the best ending, then I keep the Blade, mostly so that I can keep Mr. Little in my pocket all the way to the end.
I like to think that when he pipes up, Quote has Balrgo do an U-turn, so they all get back to the island and in the process meet up with the rest of the cast quickly deciding to discard the idea of living in some remote location with Balrgo as the third wheel (never thought that made for a very good ending).

You know what? I never really thought of that. That's actually a very interesting idea! I initially thought that the only possible way to get that to happen would be if there was some alternate path in the game that caused Curly become endeared with the Sakamotos and speak up, but that's an almost potentially cannonical ending that does part of what I tried to convey with my fourth ending.

As you may very well know, NICALiS has said in the list of features for their later CS ports that it has "four unique endings". When we discussed this when I joined, we thought we had come to the conclusion that they were talking about the Mimiga mask-altered normal ending due to having extra dialogue and credit art illustrations, but the Mr. Little ending, if it had something completely different happen after it went to black, would offer up a legitimately unique cannon fourth ending!

Or the mr. little ending perhaps.
I really should have given that more thought when Lace brought that up.

Don't belittle Mr. Little!
Instead, I belittled Mr. Little and dismissed the idea that that's what NICALiS was talking about, since it was barely a bit of dialogue added at the end.

Wow, how did I make the same typo twice while writing Balrog's name??

Anyway, glad I brought this up if it can help anyone get a little more out of the canon endings

hello everyone i wanted to ask a question about cave story i arrived at the point where i could exchange the sword for the bleeding nemesis i should exchange the sword or keep her? thanks in advance
I get that it's probably a bit late to be answering this question now, but here's my opinion on the matter:
=The Blade= is easy to use and I stuck with it on my first play-trough of the game, whereas the =Nemesis= is for advanced players (It even says it in the tool-tip) and I recommend trying it out, if it's not your style or you're not up to avoiding weapon energy. (Those orange triangles, they're weapon energy.)
P.S.
The Nemesis is good for fighting Ma Pigon. :pignon:

I hope that's a rhetorical question. (Just because I don't want to answer it, but so I don't have to post again: No.)
