Aw yeah

Too bad I don't have any jetpack or bombs :/

I think the best way to get bombs is from the sacrificial thing, sometimes they give you like 99 bombs enough to tear the city practically apart

Having sticky bombs also helps.

Finally got to the city of gold (I played through the game killing all the shopkeepers), and it paid off, even though I only had about 50 bombs when I was at the city.

I'm going to go play it again (oh god I'm addicted).

[EDIT]:

I must be on a roll tonight. Only thing left is to speedrun (and finish paying for the 3rd shortcut tunnel).

I've been playing it every chance I get for about a week or so now maybe.

On my desktop I have played it 534 times, with 4 wins. I don't know how many times on my laptop, and I don't feel like going to the effort of getting out my laptop right now just to check.

I did my speedrun and beat the game in 9:12 without using shortcuts (which let me open the moon room). Now to beat the game with the tunnel man, and pay off that last shortcut tunnel.

Not to tease you or anything, but I've had 90 plays and 2 wins.

(I haven't played Spelunky in over two months, and I apparently didn't get as addicted as you did :()

I played this for a couple of days... very nice game. Tough as nails at first.
I stopped playing when I made it to the final stage.

Yes.

I made it to the final boss... I KILLED THE FINAL BOSS!

And then as I was about to finally win! Some random falling man or something comes out of the sky and kills me as I was like a few pixels from the exit.

ha..h.a...:droll::balrog::confused::balrog::heart::balrog::balrog:

I had played from beginning to end/// I stopped playing Spelunky after that ;(
[btw I never saw the city of gold! I loved all the secrets to discover in the game, that was half the fun! That blood healing thing was pretty amusing. Those stupid Yetis would sometimes hit me on a wall, and I bounce right back to him. and he does this until I'm dead. Well, one time while I had the blood thing, the Yeti pounded on my body for about 5 minutes while hearts kept pouring out of me lol ... oh and I never figured out what the Ankh did]

I have yet to play this awesome looking game. It's obviously got way more content than I thought it would. Gotta check if I'm not too broke to get it. Might have to make an LP of this after I buy it, especially since I bought Bandicam a many months ago and I have hardly used it for anything since.
