Is it possible to change the size of the loading bmp, to something like 64x64?

You can change the image file itself rather easily, but making it appear in a different way from the usual 64x8 region when the game actually runs, you'd need to use assembly to edit the framerect of the loading image to change where it appears and how much of it.
