At least you even GOT there. I couldn't even get to the first fight with Balrog when I played the Wii demo. Makes me laugh thinking about it.

Prior to Cave Story I'd been playing fairly straightforward games like New Super Mario Bros. Wii and other games of the like. Cave Story was probably the first open world/open-ended game I had ever played (I was about 8 or 9) and I was understandably confused. Think about playing the original Legend of Zelda or Metroid for the first time, without a guidebook, and you'll certainly feel very lost. I did get the trinket, though. Still beats me how I didn't connect the dots. Guess I was a dumb little kid!

I was also young, and I easily figured it out. But Basil in the Egg Corridor was my worst enemy.
"The heck?! Die you trash!"
Hmm. I don't seem that different now...

Yeah, when I got back into it about a year ago I figured it out within 5 minutes. Guess it's just an age-related thing lol

Yeah I remember that too. I thought the bigger mushrooms in the cemetery were ghosts and I didn't want to kill them because I thought they were cute. I thought the smaller mushrooms were Mimiga lol. Didn't want to kill them either.

Really, initially I was surprised to see that the normal ending was the one most first-time blind players got. If I were to be honest, I didn't know that there was more to the outer wall than what you initially see upon entering. I'm not even joking when I say that I didn't know that I had to fly up.

Bad ending you mean?
Yeah, I got it spoiled before I started playing because my brother, so I knew there was more to the Outer Wall.
It's such a beautiful place. I love the Outer Wall.

(Sorry for ruining what you guys were talking about if I even am) I first played the Nintendo Switch version when I get it on Christmas Eve. I saw it before and knew I was going to get it. I though I was going to hate it, but went with it. I got to Mimiga Village and instantly fell in love with the game. Though I accidentally spoiled the game for myself by reading the fan made wiki..... oh well.

A fan made wiki?
How horrible of a death did you suffer reading it?
Of course that's just a stereotypical opinion because I've seen Undertale fan made things and nearly cried.

You know, the CS wiki was made based on facts about the game, and nothing silly like you feared. Just ask @Random-storykeeper
