Sorry for the repost, but it seems to have gotten buried in the past few days so I'm going to put the link to my new org in again. I would like some feedback!

Also, I really like Confusion, but the guy was right that the higher melody, or whatever it is really doesn't fit in, a few note changes could go a long way.

Nice, an Org with the v2 drums. If this is one of your first orgs, it's pretty good.

Wow... some really interesting chord structure here, pretty original, I'd say. In the beginning, the lowest instrument doesn't quite seem to fit, but once you get into the melody, it all fleshes out. not bad!

I think I'm finally done with my blasted title song. I tested it in-game and thank god, it actually works. I thought that it might not, because I did a few things that normally wouldn't be done.

Is it just me, or is this just not sounding quite right? I'm not quite sure what it is about the tone of this music, but it just seems a bit messed up to me. Could somebody maybe help me get that lightbulb moment to fix it?

It's not all the way done, so I'm just working through measure 95 right now.

Woah, it was all good up to bar 79, but then you broke the song D:

The main issue is track 3 (track 2 with orgmaker 134). It's horribly out of key. Transposing it 1 up from 79 to 91 seems to fix most of it. Also at bar 94 instead of using F# in that track, I'd use F since F# is out of key for that part of the song.

Well I'm finally caught up again now -_- Some really good stuff in there too.

@ Cutter: Random beeps = fun. I remember in high school I used to do stuff like that with Finale Notepad. It was extra-funny when they actually came out sounding half-decent.

Ho-ly-cow... I spent all day on this org, and it's still not quite finished...
Ever since Noxid and Boots came up with the whole 8-drum/new drum hack, I've been toying with all of the new drums to create some interesting new sounds

Enjoy my completely revamped version of Lost Method:

(ORGv2.05 is required to listen to this,
if you cant seem to find a copy of it, use this one i uploaded: http://www.mediafire.com/?znwayiyewun)

You're absolutely right about that being off-key. Thanks a bunch. I'm still playing around with it to fix some of the rest of it.

Well, this was something I made after this looping song started playing in my head. I don't actually know wether it's based off something I heard or what, but yeah.

As far as I know there is no reason whatsoever now to use version 1.34 by the way..
I mean is there any way in which V2.05 is not superior now that it can work with mods?

Also I don't know about your problem woodenrat but it strikes me as having been discussed before.
EDIT: Try maybe and make sure you're not saving into a program files folder maybe idunno.

This was a fun one to make, Especially since it has some really weird timing at the beginning. It's in 5:4 time. The tone still isn't quite right, though.
http://www.mediafire.com/?t0ktym52ymo
I may make it longer, but maybe not...
Does anybody have any thoughts or suggestions?

Hey, it's Mission Impossible! That means it's got to sound cool no matter how cruddy of a job I did, right? :D

Hm... That's not too bad once you get the percussion beat going. Maybe you could have it jump into it a bit faster?

No drums yet... just toying around with instruments, seeing what kind of sounds i can make

EDIT: oh... well there goes that challenge, the file name will definitely give it away

I Wanna Be The Guy main theme!!!!!!
it is most excellent (no weird sounding notes or anything).
Also, It's "IWBTG," not "IWTBTG." The game's full title is
I Wanna Be The Guy
The Movie The Game

just sayin'

MY SONG TIME!

Bad Apple!
from touhou!
It's a pretty well known song, despite the fact this version of the game requires windows 98 or a DOS emulator to run. :/
The shadow-with-vocals version on youtube (seen here), it's not the original version and the melody has been killed.

This is my interpretation of the original.
It needed a counter-melody at measure 22, so I wrote one (it kinda dominates the original melody :|).
[/wall-o-text]

P.S. this song is a pretty blatant hint towards the new direction of my mod!
More to come!

Why would you show me the original of this song first (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9roQop40DB8) if you were planning to remake yours in a way that was untrue to the original D: ? (I'm not talking about the melody you added either, which was sweet).

But you mucked up the percussion, or almost seemed to ignore it, which really bothers me knowing what the original sounds like.

I mean it's not bad, it's just that I'm really picky when someone remakes a song that I know and doesn't do it justice (or strays from the original too much). I haven't played the game myself, but I do appreciate it when people properly cite the source of a song :D .

Also, Volley, don't you do any research on your songs? Sure, it was used in IWBTG, but the song is from Guilty Gear Isuka OST - Home Sweet Grave (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39JYengjS6E).

uhh I said in my post that it was based off of the original, not the remix...
So it's true to the original!
Besides the precussion.
And thanks about the melody!

I also said in my post mine is NOT based off of the YouTube link in my post...
I dun really understand...

Did you click the link in my post, the link I was refering to (the original)?

And when I said you gave me the link before, I'm refering to visitor message conversation we had, although I may have just gone and found the original myself.

But the percussion is part of what made the original awesome, and you just went and messed it up ]: .

Yeah the percussion is basically butt at this phase.
I will spend a few hours with my headphones, iPod, and ORGmaker tomorrow and fix it.

[EDIT]: GAAAHHHH I even spelled it right the first time...
