Any links to a thread in any threads made before the move still link to miraigamer.net/forums (example: woodenrat's new post your pic thread, first post).
Not like it's a huge deal, but most of the time the links are broken because those threads don't exist on the forums anymore, with exception to the satellite lounge.

Replacing miraigamer.net with cavestory.org in the URL works well, since the topic and post numbers are all the same.

Even so, I don't think it's feasible to fix all the old links.

It's sort of possible, but it's not easy.

Hmm, I guess we should start editing some posts then! At least the official/important/stickied threads.

I've started fixing the links. Only 1219 posts to go. :D

You're not really doing them manually are you?

Well I was doing it manually with a script that pulled the matching links from each post and displayed them on a page, but now I've written and run a complex php script to pull all of the links from each post, check that they point to a forum/thread/post/whatever in the database, rewrite only the links that point to a forum, thread or post that exists within these forums and save it back to the database entirely without my input. I wrote it so that it doesn't receive false positives in any way or form. That should be over 80% of the links fixed. Now all that's left are the other types of links in the database (such as SP's 50+ http://miraigamer.net/forums/search.php? links :rolleyes: ) as well as any links in signatures or VM. But all of those need to be done manually.

EDIT: DONE!
All of the links should be fixed in VMs, posts and signatures with the exception of links that are broken regardless of which site they point to, like links to a deleted post, deleted thread, or a thread merged within another.

A work ethic to strive for. If I do I might even get an assignment in on time for once >_>

I have four more to do in like a week ;_;
