    For some reason, I decided to start working on a mod...

    So then, here's two screenshots and a song.

    There's not much to do yet. I have a lot of work ahead of me.
    Also, most of what you see is probably going to change.

    tweaked minor things
    attempted to balance damages
    altered balrog projectile behavior
    altered (some) enemy sprites

    The graphics look pretty cool.

    I have to think about a name. Not really my strong suit though.

    90% of my work so far has been cosmetic stuff. Though now since I have some tilesets laid out I can get to mapping.
    I don't plan to release a demo until several areas are complete.

    Make the boss more menacing by making him a have a gaseous look. That'll seal the deal. A name could be something, anything, without the word "Story" at the end. Something like the "Saga of Desoron tm". That seems fitting...

    I only want you to understand that changing "Story" to "Tale" doesn't really enhance the name.
    It's better to think of something original, like... Saga of Desoron or something you suggested earlier. +1 for you for that attempt, though.

    You should just keep it at "Probably a Mod" and we could make a trifecta of sorts. Not A Mod, the unfinished mod of despair, Probably A Mod, the in development mod of hope, and A Mod, the not started mod of potential. o.o

    That aside, I like your graphics. Good luck with it. :)

    1. random kid saves world but not protagonist
    2. somebody who used to be the one has to rise again (not you)
    3. evil guy goes good but still has to pretend otherwise
    4. small army vs endless onslaught
    5. sometimes no combat, script based also dodging
    6. infiltration guerilla warfare
    7. huge twist
    8. antagonist has crush on protagonist's friend
    and vice versa but neither know
    9. computer level
    10. space shooter level
    11. linear stages sometimes 2 paths but open overworld
    12. cinematics
    13. challenge levels
    14. pop culture reference
    15. multiple branches
    16. travel to train with ancient master
    17. robot invasion
    18. hilarious plague
    19. pirates
    20. progressive consequential scripts
    21. decisions made can make or break final outcome(s)!
    22. maps can change due to certain behavior
    23. maps can become inaccessable after certain points or events
