Pixel Art

Old topic!
The last post in this thread is over 60 days old. Posting in this thread will be considered a bump, so please make an attempt to be courteous if you go ahead with it.

If the last post is over 6 months old, it may instead be a better idea to start a new topic. If you aren't sure about what to do, feel free to ask a staff member for help, or try to locate a 'general questions'-type thread if it exists in this (sub-)forum.

You need to work on adding depth and organic shape. I recommend a study project; fawn over everything pixel's ever drawn for 16 months then try again.

I've done that, but I just can't wrap my head around it. It's the same way with music and emotions. It's like when you're trying to learn from a shitty math textbook that doesn't actually tell you how to solve the problems.

I guess my brain just works different.

EDIT:

Here's a cylinder:

That actually turned out better than I expected.

That drawing is impossible if it is supposed to be a straight cylinder.

Fix the bottom,
a)it shouldn't show the bottom opening (make the bottom curve down)
b)make it curve down at the same curvature as the top hole.

Never made the 3rd panel

It reminds me of Yume Nikki (in a good way)

I never thought of drawing randomly in pixel art o:
I cover my homework in doodles, but pixel art doodles?
Now no homework is safe.

Thanks gaiz.

And yes cult. It's a lot of fun :critter: It's a great way to abandon that essay that is due tomorrow, or that powerpoint presentation your group told you to work on!!

I have a huge picture of little sprite things I made when I was in middle school. They kinda such though and there are some shitty memes in them so I dunno if I'll post em. HRMM. Mebbe.
