Haha, I told that joke too today in the lunch line with my friend.

I had English last block of the day, and we have a topic we have to write about each day, and today's of course was his death and possible backlash. Then the afternoon announcements came on before the bell and when the principle announced that he was dead the other english class across the hall went practically ape shit (in the good way). Then, we had a moment (and I stretch the word "moment", because it was more like a good two minutes) of silence for the little under three thousand people who died on 9/11.

Haha, even though most of you have probably seen this already I still thought it was funny.

Victims of 9/11: a little under 3000 [1]
Victims of the Iraq War: conservative estimates are about 100,000, up to a million. [2]

In what way was this worth it. Revenge is not worth more than human life.
Also if they didn't want to make him a martyr they should've read 1984.

HOWEVER, it is a good thing, if this was how we chose to spend our time, that we finally found him. Now we can move on. :/

12, almost 13... and I'm guess that doesn't sound like a big difference to you, now does it?

But we're getting a bit off topic here.

I think it's more than that o.o

I remember I was in 3rd grade..and i was complaining because I couldn't watch Pokemon or Sailor Moon cause it was all over the news. What an asshole.

My mom also told me earlier that around that time, I said I thought I saw Osama at the mall.

Yeah. I didn't understand any of it at the time.

I remember 9/11. I guess I was nine. I didn't really understand why my parents were so intense about some grainy-ass footage of some towers burning. I mean, I'd seen disasters before. News covers death all the time. This was only two years after NATO bombed Yugoslavia, and over 3500 Yugoslavians died from that. Even after I learned what happened, I didn't understand why two buildings getting destroyed was a bigger deal than any other catastrophe in my lifetime. So it was not shocking at all to me that the United States was experiencing the same fear and grief that other parts of the world experience.

Anyway, now that Osama's dead they have no excuse to stay in Afghanistan. Well, yes they do, but it's a stupid excuse.

Congrats, I still don't see why they didn't they just take him as a prisoner for an actual trial. Sure he's a terrorist, but wasn't Saddam one too? He had an actual trial.

They tried to take him alive but could not.

Also Saddam wasn't a terrorist, he was a dictator that used terror tactics on his subjects.
