I'm really excited for Star Wars 7 to come. Admittedly, I watched the entire series for when Episode 3 was coming out nearly a decade ago, I would love to see how this plays out.

Leia was revealed to have the potential to use the Force in Episode VI guys. This is because she's the daughter of Anakin Skywalker, and Force abilities are hereditary.

I'm 99% sure they kept the Clone wars series and Rebels series as cannon (because rebels is made by Disney and is a continuation of CW)
I can't speak for force unleashed of other mainstream SW media though.

The trailers haven't done a lot for me, they're very samey and show little in the way of new ideas (probably on purpose). Provided the reviews aren't terrible I do think I'll go and see it, once the cinemas clear out a bit.

I'm almost certain that the entire thing will be spoiled for me if I don't go when it releases. I have a friend who has lots of money who always goes to these things and if I don't go with him he'll spoil it for me.
