._.; Oppression fans coming out of the woodwork. I'm glad I'm not alone. I agree with Cyowolf there. Didn't even notice the song the first time I played - too busy going "WHAT THE **** IS THAT!?!" but later on, I finally noticed the psyche-permeating, panic-inducing awesome. Only Iron Head/Oppression First can match it!

Also, because I can, I'm going to rank the boss themes.

Oppression > Eyes of Flame > Last Battle > [Run! if it counts] > Gravity

You put Eyes of Flame before Last Battle? I'll have to consult my ORGView.

Wat? I meant in order of greatness, not appearance in game.

Go you. High five. Piñata.

Anyway, I listened to them, and I see that about equal in their own right. But that's just my opinion, huh?

It's always just opinion. Heck, one guy I know doesn't like Oppression and thinks Gravity is the best song. Of course, we all know he's WRONG, but still.

...maybe I should've remixed a different track...:(

On topic, as awesome as lots of tracks here are, I really loved Grasstown.

My favourite is Mischievous Robot definitely. I like Charge too, because it is panic inducing when you play CS for the first time-giving a nice game atmosphere that the fight with the Doctor is for life and death.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Balcony yet... It's by far my favorite music in the game, as well as the most well-written (IMO). It gives you that sense of calm (especially with the repeated melodic notes) right before you go through the final bosses and Hell.

Mischevious Robot I like for the beginning buildup
Scorching Back I like because of its general melody and harmonies that it has with it, as well as how fitting the song is to the area around it.
Running Hell I like because it reminds me of Curly.

<< is uberfanboy? =/

That's because Quote was originally named Curly, and that song is kinda his theme. {Was and still is}

That is most likely due to the fact that it's the song that plays when you unlock Curly for the Start Menu with the proper Sacred Grounds time.
Besides that, I don't see any connection...

Re: Yeap

I really like Scorching Back. Actually, I really like everything. Except that first cave music. And Quiet sounds too Wario.

Wha-what?!

You don't like Gestation!?
That's one of my favorites, personally.
It really set the mood for the game, as soon as I started it.

It's a little short-ish, but I think it's pretty well written..

I'd like to know when Wario became synonymous with "bad", and not in the villain/anti-hero sense.

White is definitely my favorite.

Not only is it one of those "secret songs" (or w/e), but it just sounds awesome.

I'd have to say the only one I didn't like was Plant. Other than that, they were all great.
