It was just a quick edit to show what I was talking about with the shield, it's not like I'm claiming that it is mine. The shield that I made is what I am showing you, the rest of him has not been edited and is only there for reference so that he doesn't try to wear it as a hat or something.

Egad! That is... well, 'perfect' is such a strong work, but... heck, it fits, I say! Woo, that's exactly what I was looking for, JC (...ys810, to clarify )!

So, while I'm not too keen on the shield, I can imagine him wielding some kind of unwieldy (hehe) gun setup, using the same basic idea. I'm sure the empty space (due to skinnier-ness, hehe) will be just fine, and I believe I can work the sprites from here. Could take a while but it's worth it. Thanks a boatload for the help, JC, and for giving it a try anyhow, Andwhy. Hehe, I just might have to ask a bit more often... new sprite art is killer, I say.

 

Shield can be used as a blade as well, 2-in-one.

Hehe... so, after a bit of animation editing, I've finally got Enigma implemented in-game. And I have to say... *yeeeah*, Enigma turned out great! He's definitely not Balrog-like, yet still keeps that "goofy villain" streak, hehe. Thanks a boatload, JC and Andwhy, for the help here. I'll post some extra screenies soon, but for now, I've got some schoolwork to take care of. All I lack for the demo is an intro scene, and a bit of a secret/bonus scene for justice. It shan't be long... though I *am* speaking by my own standards, so... XD

Hmm... if only I could make a platformer of my own, I might make some type of wacky mini-game starring Enigma as the main character. He's just plain cool like that.
