Yay! Finally beat Ballos with the missile spamming strategy on the second and fourth forms! After three tries! Damn, I think I'm getting good at hell after all those times. Maybe I should've taken the watch item so I can see my time. Oh well, too late. Maybe next playthrough.
I got killed on the third form twice, but then I beat it after some lucky charged shots the third time. Then I used the cheap strategy to kill the forth form quickly.
Awesome ending.
Anyway... I think I'll take a break from Cave Story. Once it comes to the WiiWare, I'll buy it and play that version.

Never! I just wanted to beat the game fully, I don't go for the hardcore stuff.

If you ever feel like a challenge, try beating the Core with the Fireball.

There is only one part of Hell I can't stand: The first deathcase.

Oh yeah, I recently undertook an epic failure run: Hell with SEVERE Lag.
Beat it in 6'21"5. No deaths, one run, max items and HP. (Mind you, I never returned the Little...)

The first obstacle is pretty easy once you figured out a good way to pass it.
I hate where the text that pops up to tell you Ballos' history. Seriously, a lot of bad locations for them, like the first one is right before a spike pit. I actually overshot a jump because the text box appeared and made me forget to hold backwards so I can land safely.

It should all just be right at the beginning...

And of course, there is the second room...
I'm lucky if I even make it out with 15 HP.
But I hardly ever die in that room, as I usually just make it out. And I get my health back throughout the third floor.(Then loose some to Heavy Press... Actually, I managed to go through that fight with no health lost two times in a row. Incredibly luck, I suppose.)

Try everspamming with the Polar Star/Spur/Nemesis.
If you don't hit them, they're usually not a threat.

Kinda fitting, actually.
Cherubs are chubby little angelic forms.

If she died, she would't be able to help Quote, 'cause she would be, y'know, dead.
