Anyway, I've a question or two to ask. If someone else wanted to start an LP here, would it be appropriate to make a mock account for the purposes of multiple posting, like LDLP? Also, what exactly is the image/post limit? For some reason I had it in my head that it was 32 images or so, and your latest update has close to 100 - a token of how unobservant I am, I suppose.

Alternate accounts aren't allowed, so I would recommend against it. And also, double post auto-merging has recently been disabled, due in part to this question.

His biceps look bigger than his pectorals here, and his abs/stomach area seems really small in general.

So it's time for the Climax Inference again, the minigame which is basically just a summary of the chapter. This time there's 11 pages to complete, so let's get to it.In case you've forgotten, this game is in a manga/comic format, so the panels are to be read from left to right.

One thing you might notice is that we now have a time limit of only 10 minutes, instead of 30, thanks to cranking the difficulty level of the game to its maximum setting. 10 minutes is still plenty of time for this game, even if you get it wrong once or twice.

Another thing is that there's now more circles than there are panels to actually be filled in, and some of them are actually from the last trial's Climax Inference. This seems to be another effect of switching to the highest difficulty.

One thing I haven't really talked about or shown off in this mini game is the hint-system that's in place (mainly because I forgot it actually existed). If you press the circle button over an empty panel, the game will give you a short description/hint as to what's supposed to go there. It can be very helpful for this game, as the panels are somewhat vague.

That's all the panels. Now let's see how we did.

Then first, how about we try looking back from the beginning of the incident…

Last night, Celes caught sight of Fujisaki in the warehouse, right?

At that time, Fujisaki had something in the gym bag they had in hand…

Right, it was the blue jersey. Celes, you saw that, right?

Carrying that bag, Fujisaki, in spite of the fact that it was night time, headed to that place.

That was the changing room. Moreover, it was the boys changing room.

But why would the victim, who we thought was female, have entered the boys changing room…?

That’s because she was… no, he was a male.

Therefore, using his own electronic student ID card, he was able to enter the boys changing room.

In the boys changing room, Fujisaki met up with someone. That “someone” is this incident’s culprit!

Likely, while Fujisaki was unprepared, the culprit used the dumbbell as a weapon…

…and attacked him.

At that time, blood stains scattered onto the poster and carpet of the boys changing room.

It’s likely that this was an impulsive murder… because if we assume that it was set up, then there was too little planning.

They switched the boys changing room and the girls changing room… in other words, they switched the scene of the crime!

But, the incident this time didn’t end just there…

As he became the first person to discover the corpse, thanks to Togami’s intervention, the incident was even further complicated…

Togami, who had entered the crime scene…

Using the extension cord that was in the library room, he did “something”.

…that’s right, using the extension cord, he crucified Fujisaki’s corpse.

Furthermore, using the victim’s blood, Togami left behind a message of blood at the crime scene.

As if he was trying to give us the illusion that it was Genocider Syo’s crime!

And then, around this time… while Togami was carrying out the disguising of the crime scene…

The culprit, who had disposed of Fujisaki’s gym bag, came to the sauna room.

Just by properly pressing circle triangle circle triangle, it is possible to disrupt your opponent’s verbal attacks.

However, this is until your attention power gauge runs out. Please use it effectively at an advantageous time.

Of course, for just you to have a special time would be unfair, so…

For your opponent as well, they can call “Negative Time”, which is a time arranged for them.

While in a Machinegun Talk Battle, if your opponent invokes Negative Time…

Your Tempo Marker will be hidden, and pressing the buttons will become difficult.

At that time, it might be best to use Fever Time…

By the way… if you’re on the kind level of action difficulty, your opponent will not use Negative Time.

So 2 new elements have been added here. I'm not sure if you're actually able to use the "Fever Time" before this trial, but this will be the first time we see "Negative Time". The game recommends you use Fever Time to counteract the Negative Time, but I didn't see a need to since the game is actually pretty lenient with the timing of the button presses. Maybe we'll use it next time.

Machinegun Talk Battle Start!

Interestingly enough, this time we have a MTB with Ishimaru, instead of the culprit. Ishimaru still isn't convinced that Oowada was the killer, despite all the evidence presented so far.

As with before, there isn't actually much to see during the mini game itself, so we'll just skip to the end of it where we deliver the final blow. You can watch it in the video part if you're curious:

That's an odd route to choose, but I feel we might not be getting the full story here. At the very least, he pulls it off very well (being a girl, that is).

However, no matter how many shells he covered himself up with...

The complex that had taken root within himself wouldn't be swept away that easily.

I'm pretty sure that "Crazy Diamonds" is the name of the jacket, but it's also the name of Oowada's biker gang, so maybe we own that now? Sweet.

Also I don't think I explained it before when we had Oowada's free time event, but the gang's name is actually a transliteration of Kanji to spell out the English words "Crazy Diamond(s)", with the last 4 being Daiya and Mondo, the names of the 2 brothers.

With that, we've reached the end of chapter 2. This case certainly was more interesting and involved than the last, but half of that was thanks to Togami, not Oowada himself. Maybe next time we'll get a murderer who's better at covering their tracks.

Next time we'll be starting chapter 3. I actually haven't played or seen any further than chapter 2, so from here on out I'll be playing blind. I'm excited to (finally) see how the rest of this game plays out, since it's taken nearly 2 years to get this far.

Hagakure is standing outside of the girls washroom on the second floor here. Kind of a suspicious place to stand, so let's see what he's doing.

It's been awhile since we've had a Reaction Talk event, but once again we can't proceed with the conversation unless we "react" to the bolded words here. So let's do that.

So the first thing in here that caught my eyes was that big... thing in the middle of the room. But Ishimaru is here for some reason, so let's see if he's up to anything.

So at this point we've investigated everything we can find from the camera angle we were given upon entering the room, but if we pan the camera a bit to the right...

We see this, which was formerly just out of view. Let's take a look at it.

Somehow, it has a weird anime design, but... it's a digital camera?

It's a bit dirty but, it looks like it would properly turn on.

This looks like it's usable. Afterwards, I'll try showing it to everyone.

Normally we'd take a look at what else is in this room, but the next dialogue starts automatically, since the game seems to have decided that we're done exploring for now. We might come back here later to take another look around this room.

You may have forgotten about it (as I did), but there is indeed what looked to be an infirmary on the first floor. In the school section of the first floor, not the dormitory section.

Oogami Sakura:

But I thought it was locked...

Asahina Aoi:

Well yes, but it's been opened.

Oogami Sakura:

Was there protein? Supplements would also be good.

Asahina Aoi:

I even searched for it, but there was none... it was nothing but headache medicine and over-the-counter medical supplies...

I went around and looked over the 3rd floor from start to end, but... as I thought, the windows of the classrooms and hallways are blocked by iron plates.

I'm sure that someone as pale as Celes isn't really missing the sun much anyways. She doesn't seem like the kind of person who would spend a lot of time outside.

For now, I've gone around and investigated the iron plates thoroughly but, each and every one was solidly nailed on.

As I thought... even an escape from the 3rd floor will be difficult...

So looks like we're still stuck here, unsurprisingly. Escaping from the 3rd floor seems like it would kind of be dangerous on its own though, with a fall from that height.

And god knows that we're strapped for time here, what with our busy schedule of living here for the rest of our lives.

For a fortune teller, Hagakure seems rather afraid of ghosts. But maybe that's because he's the one who believes in them the most.

Kirigiri Kyouko:

What will you do, Celes?

Celes:

Looks like she's giving in.
