Old topic!
The last post in this thread is over 60 days old. Posting in this thread will be considered a bump, so please make an attempt to be courteous if you go ahead with it.

If the last post is over 6 months old, it may instead be a better idea to start a new topic. If you aren't sure about what to do, feel free to ask a staff member for help, or try to locate a 'general questions'-type thread if it exists in this (sub-)forum.

I don't see how that'll help.
I might be less sucky at Java :p
Plus it seems like more people on the forums use Java but I could be wrong.

How about I document it?
Sure - in progress documentation here. I only have some PXEVE there right now since I'm figuring out PXPACK at the moment.

the ability to edit tiles too far from the starting position, lack of entity viewing (is it just me with that one or what?), tile type viewing/editing
You don't know these things exist because you are doing it wrong. This functionality you mentioned is controlled using your keyboard instead of your mouse.

http://www.cavestory.org/download/kero-hack-tools-instructions.php

  • Press the SPACE key to bring up the tiles.
  • Use the W, A, S, and D keys to navigate the map.
  • Press R to reset the view.
  • Press TAB to switch layers.
  • Press 1, 2, or 3 to toggle layers, although not via the numpad.
  • Press E to toggle entities.
  • Click to place a tile.

No.
Once you get too far away from the starting position you can no longer place tiles because of how the cursor works.
Entities never display, nor can be edited. I have no idea why.
And you can not view tile types or edit them.
Where the hell does it mention how to do half of this in that guide?

I already explained two times that BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE CURSOR WORKS after you go too far to the right, or downward the cursor won't go any further, because it's relative to something.

Also yes I tried E.

You did not specify that the cursor stops moving after a certain point, you only said "you can no longer place tiles because of how the cursor works." This may be untrue but you seem to be getting a little aggressive about this when people are actively trying to help you fix your problem.

I think you'll find shitposting in #general isn't allowed.
Nor is it allowed in #shitposting. Or #bot_fun.

May also be worth mentioning that there can only be a maximum of one conversation in #general; any more and it triggers the staff.

You are allowed to shitpost in #shitposting, but not spam messages. Just because it's FOR shitposting doesn't mean it doesn't have any rules. You can't shitpost in #bot_fun, but getting the bot to shitpost, or do anything else but post NSFW imagery and flood the chat is fine.

Also, you can have more than the one same conversation; but you can't go derailing (or attempting to derail) conversations by posting irrelevant images.

Honestly it's quite a pain removing messages one-by-one.

You are allowed to shitpost in #shitposting, but not spam messages.

You might want to update your personal definition of the term
