I purchased Kero Blaster for PC after having it on mobile and hating the touch controls every moment.
However, now that I've downloaded it, it seems to only load a black screen window. The computer does not tell me the program isn't responding, etc, and I can move the window freely.
I downloaded the game + soundtrack package from Playism, then unzipped the file, and unzipped the KeroBlasterEn file within that, and tried to run the application "KeroBlaster" from the extracted zip files but still grouped with the contents of its folder. The result is the black, blank window.
Curiously, the game/soundtrack set is located in the "add-ons" tab of my Playism games library, but Pink Hour is under the Games tab.
The demo "Pink Hour" runs perfectly well on my system. IT USED to run perfectly well. Now, I get a blank purple window, but can still play/shoot/walk.
What have I done wrong?

Okay an additional detail I should have investigated earlier:
I can actually play the game. I can move, walk, shoot, hit things, I can hear all of that. I can right click and adjust the scale/window size, volume, and quit. All of this, but the window is a solid black rectangle. What can be done to solve this? Is there a missing graphics file or something?

Are your graphics drivers up-to-date?

I did try downloading it again and got the same result.
My graphics drivers should be up to date. I will double check, but I was able to play Pink Hour perfectly well in the past, which is the most confusing part to me.

You should try and update or reinstall your graphics drivers anyway regardless.

Try updating Direct X as well.

Check the bit depth setting:

Check that you haven't saved the files inside a system folder such as "Program Files" or "Windows".

Check that none of the parent folders have any foreign or non-ascii characters (characters that standard keyboard wouldn't have).

I've updated my drivers and attempted to update DirectX (I already had the latest version) but my game still displays as a blackened rectangle.
