Kero Blaster, A New Game by Pixel

Yeah, Pixel isn't one to sacrifice quality just to punch a game out faster.

Thought this was a fitting quote, especially considering how much it applies to the situation, in addition to most games in general.

 

Been quite a while since I checked on Gero Blaster. I was sad that it was for iOS and had touch buttons, but glad to see that it's planned to be for Windows as well. I'll always love buttons that I can actually press more than touch buttons. I'm not against some touch control mechanics, but most of them make me feel like I lose too much control and/or responsiveness. Also, the game looks way more interesting than I remembered.

You're anything but alone on this one.

I really appreciate the sheer amount of time and thought Pixel is putting to the game, and from what we've seen so far, it seems it'll turn out amazing.

I'm also glad to see the characters from Ame finally get a game of their own

ive seen a couple videos of it, looks pretty good but ill probably still like Cave Story better.

 

Just hoping for some more news! Wish he was more vocal with the community... even though he doesn't speak much english lol

 

I guess he's not really that kind of a person. Maybe he wants to release it suddenly, like a surprise.

wow, this game looks awesome so looking forward as well!

(the train in the bk was my favorite part)

 

What I really like about it is that it has this Contra thing going on with the guns.

 

I wonder if it'll be moddable the same way CaveStory is...

He has his own personal level editor for it (as seen in the development pictures).

If it's built similarly to CS and Ikachan, it would simply require cracking open how it's layered inside and then building our own tools to manipulate it.

It depends on how much the fan community wants to modify it.
