Not to mention, the baby new Skype group has more and more members (not including me) added to it each day. People have created their own off-shoot communities. Most activity just happens there, on Skype, or the IRC. I've created some great friends from the community, and a good majority of them have since abandoned the forums altogether. I can only predict that soon you guys will realize the forum isn't befitting of your own personal chatroom, and will move on to other things.

It probably wouldn't surprise you that Dunc and Doors do a damn good job of keeping the place in order so to not become overcrowded with insufficient awful people.

Well with the direction the conversation went ir seems that we'll become a miragamer forum, and make the cave story stuff read only, but keep the modding section for how much goes on there. So dont worry about this place ending.

I feel like I'm one of the relatively old members, but haven't talked to anyone about anything...
Honestly, I think we should just continue the way we have been. Aside from topics getting beat to death because old members have seen them more then once, we seem to be doing fine. We are slowly gaining, and we're not losing people; we're gaining people faster than we're losing them. (Except for some instances, where it's either a bot, or the single question and then leave forever)

I admit, a forum update (Moving of some stuff) would be interesting. It would seem odd, but it would be a small spark. We have to hope that spark catches something on fire. (Metaphorically at least)

 

CS just hit it's tenth birthday last month, and I don't see a big celebration.

That's probably because the anniversary is on the 20th of December, not any time during February.

But uh. Some of you seemed rather serious about improving the forums. So if you wanna continue going on about that, that's fine. I'm honestly surprised this would end in semi reasonable discussion

 

Regardless of joking...yes, many were pretty serious about this. There are definitely things we can improve on. Still, this was a touchy subject, and I somehow kind of doubt that morale has improved.

The point was to have a big discussion before the fact, and then do the reveal on april fool's. It would be absolutely pointless if I made the thread on April fool's and then revealed it in the same day. It wouldn't be convincing at all. Though with the intelligence of some people here I wouldn't be surprised if some of them still fellf or it.

 

Sweeeeeet I had a feeling it might have been a joke, but you never really know these things until they play out.

But it's awesome to see just how passionate the users here are about the forums and keeping the community alive. I feel like, to some extent, there was some truth to the joke, with the hierarchies and all that.
