In memory of those who died 11 years ago

Well, today is 9/11, so a moment of silence whom lost their lives.

 

Do we also get a moment of silence for the 200,000-some people who died in the atomic bombings of hiroshima and nagasaki?

Honestly, 9/11. I understand it was a major tragedy and all but fuck get over it after eleven years. This mass of people going apeshit over 9/11 is just annoying, there are plenty of other disasters that you can feel sorry for.

I may get hated for this post, but really guys? Why obsess about it every year?

 

Well, what about the children who's parents were there? They've been parentless for 11 years. What if someone on here's parents died in 9-11? Im shure their traumatized and every year, they are reminded that their parents were killed in that crash. I don't hate you, but that pisses me off that you have no sympathy for those people.

Noxid, y u so smart? But anyway, I watched this one video about 9/11 in class today. A couple people were crying, I almost did...

 

Frankly when the disaster happened it didn't really move me that much. Far more people died by the hands of Hilter, Kim Jong il, and Mao ZeDong.

 

Oh geez. This is gonna be, what, the 3rd 9/11 argument?

Look, I don't care that certain tragedies cost more lives than 9/11, the fact of the matter is thagt people died and it sucked. I know people say "get over 9/11", but it's a huge event that impacted America. They won't forget it anytime soon. History-wise, 11 years is still really recent. You may bitch that people are still bitching about it, but just think /why/ they are. If you're tired of hearing about 9/11, you'll have to wait a few more3 decades. Sorry.

Aaand hate on me all you want, but I agree with DERP about people maybe being traumatized from losing a parent. Do they not have the right to mourn about it since it happened 11 years ago? Seriously people. I know 9/11 didn't affect you personally, but it did affect others, so have a little more respect.

I know this is locked, but still I'd like to put in a word for the volunteers who spent endless hours digging through the rubble and now have fifteen different types of cancer because the USA only cares about heroes when they have money
