Hey. I made a translation for the game (v0.432), including the server messages.
Took me a while, since I don't know Japanese and had to play around with Google translate.

Unfortunately map names won't work since these are acquired from the server at startup.

I also added a screen size selector and made a title image.

Very fascinating job! It did output "Server timeout" but no additional messages after that. And now I can see better with your cool batch file that adjusts the game resolution that the original japanese version never had.

Just remember, in the event should Pixel ever release a newer version of Soaprun, you will have to hack it over again with the new version.

Soaprun update: New version due mid-season, according to the most recent server message

 

FINALLY! Pixel is working on Soaprun again.

hammil, you're gonna have to go to work again. Your translation of v0.432 was in vain. A new version from Pixel is going to be out after all. I bet he will not open the server anymore until he releases the new version on a certain weekend (mid-season). Once the new version is released, he will open the server only to the new version.

I am going to have to get to work once it is released and update my guide and map if possible. There could be new hazards and monsters, and possibly new activities.

EDIT: hammil, how about translating the names of the enemy and boss names shown in the credits in the game Guxt, Pixel's 5-stage vertical shooter game? (to get the credits, complete all stages in regular and the unlockable score attack. Score attack has 1 additional boss.)

 

I relish the challenge! Shame though that he's not going to just open the server for the time being - I was going to have some fun reverse-engineering the server protocol. Ah well - until mid-season!
