34 threats? Dang.
You need some real protection. {Or stop going to questionable sites :D}
What programs are you using for viruses?

No, the ANTIVIRUS is the VIRUS.
I didn't have 34 viruses. Only 1.

Well, while I was looking at the little guide on removing it, the thing said around 10 million users got this. I so happened to be one of those 10 million users. It was a internet Javascript worm that invaded a few websites, which could have been on some that I went on earlier today.

Um, I just saw that the program you are using is a scam, ralren.

Hidden text highlight (or click) to view:

One, I knew it was a scam, I already have an antivirus on my computer.
Two, it was on a embedded javascript worm that raided upon several websites. Either that from what I have heard, or I have tracking cookies, or my computer is taking a shit badly.

Not to mention I too am removing it as I post this.

So I must not be alone then..

You have it too? What in the hell?

lol, "Spyware Protect 2009," such a generic name. Whoever made that virus didn't do a very good job of making it look legit.

Why would you use anything that is not McAfee, Norton or OneCare? It is highly illogical.

I have both Norton and Malwarebytes running to kill it as quickly as possible.

I have Symantec Antivirus, and nor did it ever do a very good job removing the virus. Just use Malwarebyte's program, and do a quick scan. Make sure you end the process for the Antivirus Guard 2009 before deleting it.

Restart your computer after doing so. You need to exit the browser while doing a quick scan. Goodluck.

I never got this, I think. I must be lucky. Where's the site that gives instructions on how to check/remove this?

Gah, I'm such an idiot, I didn't notice the first line in your post. Don't worry though, malwarebytes is hunting and killing the damn thing as I post.

Edit: IT"S DEAD!!!!!

Malwarebytes killed it! (hopefully anyway)

If you get it, stop it before it scans and run malwarebytes.

It will be dead before it has time to do anything!

Hah, that thing. Slipped through ZoneAlarm as I was typing and the Allow/Deny program access alert came up just as I was typing "a" elsewhere.

I went right to where it was in System 32 and keeled it dead.

I have AVG, although if I remember right, it didn't think it was a virus at the time... Yeah, that may be a good idea.

I have norton and it never found anything like what malwarebytes found.

So, yeah, turns out that Macafee, AVG, and Norton are not as perfect as we once thought.

Oh, yeah, did you know you can get AVG for free?

Yep, that's the version I have. Dang if I'm going to pay for Anti-Virus and Firewall software when free and equally good equivalents exist.
