Pay what you want bundles really have caught on over the last couple of years...
There have been some really fun games in them.

This time around I'd like to mention Hammerwatch.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9aGEzxogqY

It's been a really fun game to play with friends (and great with a controller but not required...), I can personally attest to that! Plus they just released a new expansion for the game just TODAY. Not sure if there will be any bugs to work out with the new content, but I recommend getting it while it's only 1$ minimum on Steam! (Wonder if you can play with other Steam players if you just play the DRM free version which is 1 cent minimum...)

It also has a map editor included, and some custom content already created.

If the old series "Gauntlet" means anything to you, definitely get it. Otherwise judge by the trailer :)

The list of games included in this bundle are:

1$ Steam Tier:
Hammerwatch
SteamWorld Dig
Gunpoint

Pay More than the Average (around 8$):
Paper's Please
LUFTRAUSERS
Gone Home
The Bridge
Monaco: What's Yours is Mine
Race the Sun

And 10$ mark:
Prison Architect

And 65$ mark:
Humble Indie Bundle Entertainment System
An amazing new system* that utilizes floppy disk format and vinyl records
"Additional Note: Yes, there is a vinyl record and 3.5" floppy disk in this package. For real, not a joke. If you don't know what either of those things are then go ask your parents or the Google."

*Not really a system

I keep swiping my toonie against my monitor and nothing is happening. I'll have to grab it after work.

The "more than the average" tier is probably one of the most meh things I have seen. Even more than the most recent HIBs IMO.

Yesterday/today's shmups bundle seemed like a much better deal to me.

I would buy that vinyl in a heartbeat if CS was in HIB 12.

So Hammerwatch is pretty neat, I'm going to try to play it with friends tonight.

It kind of sucks that there's only two actual dungeons and they aren't procedurally generated, but on the other hand it makes even the most basic workshop maps much more welcoming to play.

Except that Hexen one presently on there. It isn't very good.

I think it's unfair to compare it to Gauntlet.

That or Diablo was the feeling I had for it from watching the trailer but the actual game? Meh.

Here the enemies just seem to sit there until you come close and then they move towards you. The whole dungeon seem to be "dead" because of that.

There was a long time since I played Gauntlet II but I don't remember that everything was stationary until you got close by.

Also of course Diablo is an excellent game.. This is.. mediocre indie game?

Then, uh, don't... buy it?

Humble Indie Bundle 12 is over, by the way. When it was active, you could get that 'Mediocre indie game' for $1. Diablo 3 still costs like $50, and even if you bought D3 when it came out, you have to shell out ANOTHER $50 for the 'expansion' (because Blizzard and everyone in their market department forgot what 'expansion' means).

So, uh, comparing Diablo to Hammerwatch and bitching about Hammerwatch being mediocre... When the price tag difference is $50-$100 vs $1-$10...

Oh boy, you got us there sir. We see the wisdom of your necropost, now.
