Hell Mod Contest *VOTING THREAD*: COMPLETED!

Old topic!
The last post in this thread is over 60 days old. Posting in this thread will be considered a bump, so please make an attempt to be courteous if you go ahead with it.

If the last post is over 6 months old, it may instead be a better idea to start a new topic. If you aren't sure about what to do, feel free to ask a staff member for help, or try to locate a 'general questions'-type thread if it exists in this (sub-)forum.

Re: Hell Mod Contest *VOTING THREAD*

I cant really get anywhere in these and i think using a trainer kind of completely defeats teh purpose of the hack. I managed to get to the lower right door in mod of hell by self harming on the spikes in the middle route... WHich is probably a flaw.

And when you say no to wanting "stuff" in what the hell, the game stopd functioning. I also made the least progress in that one.

if by middle route, you mean the one with Presses above spikes, then no, you can boost across at a height just a bit above the wall of the pit and not get touched. i've done it.
also, i got through all the hell mods except Mod of Hell. it got far too frustrating being looped back to some point about 3-5 rooms back for one mistake.
imma go ahead and vote anyway:
THotS for lulz and the even more lulz if you go back and refight Ball- er, Frank, without closing the game.
"Frank":u die nao
Curly:lolk

and the complete change of the last ending from Balrog saving them to the pair going out for lunch, iirc.
my second place is What The Hell?!

Re: Hell Mod Contest *VOTING THREAD*

I was pointing out that being able to get past it by self harming is a flaw, not that i didnt think it was possible without getting hit.

I just want people to vote :(

I guess at this point a lot of people are having trouble with Mod Of Hell, and that they'd be able to figure out whether or not they'd want to vote for it after getting part-way through, so if they really think they won't I won't force them to complete it. I'd really like to wrap this up before, like, September >_>

In the meantime, vote rank:

1. THotS - 5 votes
2. Hell If I Know! - 1 vote + 3 bonus
3. S. H. - 1 vote + 2 bonus
4. Mod Of Hell/Invisible Hell - 1 vote
Christ this is embarrassing :<

9 voters in total so far. That's almost getting somewhere! :p

Re: Hell Mod Contest *VOTING THREAD*

Was that being facetious or did I just get the fastest vote ever?

What, you don't believe me? D:
I keep meaning to vote but every time I'm like "ehh..." because I don't usually like picking things. So I finally just decided to knuckle down and choose.

It's more that I'd just said you don't need to complete Fahrenheight's mod to vote and then you immediately voted for it. Koowinsidunts.

Is it too late to randomly come up with an update to the mod? :p

Re: Hell Mod Contest *VOTING THREAD*

I vote for THotS, since it was lengthy and it had level design that made sense to me.

Hell If I know was a close second, since it had actual remixes.

Re: Hell Mod Contest *VOTING THREAD*

:>

Vote Rank Update:

1. THotS - 6 votes
2. Hell If I Know! - 2 vote + 4 bonus
3. Mod Of Hell - 2 votes
4. S. H. - 1 vote + 2 bonus
5. Invisible Hell - 1 vote

We now have an almighty 12 votes in total. Hell If I Know! is putting up a strong stand for 2nd place with all those bonus votes, despite being unfinished, but any vote now could change up the final podium placings!

Re: Hell Mod Contest *VOTING THREAD*

I vote for THotS. The gameplay is the most polished of the mods and is also very challenging and creative.

S. H. gets a bonus from me for having kickass music and graphics.

Re: Hell Mod Contest *VOTING THREAD*

Alrighty, one last reminder bump. There's ~a week left for any eleventh-hour votes to come in, and then it's done and dusted. I might even whip up something special for the podium placings :p

That's kinda depressing.
