I've seen worse, but that is a surprisingly extra horrible job on the lyric writing.

I doubt anyone even knows about this band, but I recently discovered them and I think they're pretty neat.

Also hi I'm a new guy. D:

I'd post this in the game music thread... but, I really don't want it to be rated.

I was watching something and I just heard these familiar notes in my mind... and felt like I needed to remember it.
Luckily I was able to track it down, and figure out what song I was trying to recall, despite who knows how long it's been :

Chrono Trigger - At the Bottom of Night
(loop around 1:14 for non-orchestra)

Such a sad song

Well while I'm here, here goes another song that I used to try to play...
That song reminds me of times long gone...

And last but not least an old favorite melody :

Ppl often think that ballroom dances are outdated. I'd like to show that many of today's popular songs are actually ballroom dances. With only a few months of practice you'll shake it like a boss*.The reason of this post is to make you want to learn this awesome stuff :)

Cha-cha:

Quick step:

Slowfox:

Samba:

Rumba:

To make this shorter I will leave out Tango, Paso, Jive....

--
Besides these above, you may want to learn to Boogie:

*ofc learning more adds moves and makes it look even more awesome.

Tricky, you're right that there are plenty of popular songs that were chachachas before they made it big. Here's another one:

The original version was by Tito Puente:

Also, for the sake of comparison, take a look at Cuban rumba (guaguancó, specifically) compared to ballroom rumba. Quite a different animal in both the dance and the music:

And one more completely unrelated video, only because this tune has been my jam for the past couple of days. This wasn't a chachacha, but it is a remix...

The original was actually a ballad:

Since I'm here I feel like sharing some of my favorite recent discoveries in music... Specifically electronic stuff.
Caravan Palace:
Genre - "Electro-Swing"
They are in fact a group of I think 6 people, to my knowledge they record their own instrumentals/vocals, and are generally amazing at what they do.

groovy

Been listening to Frank Klepacki's music a lot lately, at least the stuff that wasn't featured in the C&C series. It's kinda hit and miss most of the time.

It's a year old, but nothing matters anymore.

May the Retro Enlightenment wash upon your essence.

(P.s. Though it is in "VVVVVV", it was added in a later update, and isn't played in the actual game, so I don't really credit it as actual "VGM" to be placed in the other music sharing thread).

Yeah, Scottish Pirate Metal! I've known about this for a while. :D

I found this today and it made me really happy for some reason. I'm not sure if it's really good music or not but maybe someone will enjoy it like I do. :3

Russian club music. Imagine a large group of slavic men in their late 20s on steroids dancing to this music while they have brand new illegally bought BMWs waiting outside.
