Favorite Weapon in Cave Story

Post your favorite weapon in Cave Story. Simple, no? Mod weapons are not canon (Lace rubbed my face in it) so dont uses tehm. Arrite?

Mine: Spur.

 

Machine gun.

Nemesis.

It shoots DUCKS at level 3. Does more need to be said?

 

The bubbler; it's got charm.

 

Blade.

Due to fast damage and melee-like combat (especially with lvl 2's short range).

 

Does anyone like the Nemesis?

'Cuz the Level Up=less pwr thing really turns me off.

It's actually a lot more powerful than the spur if you use it right, and since it delevels quickly leveling it up isn't normally an issue.

Plus I kinda posted like 4 posts ago, did you miss it?

The nemesis is nice due to fast damage at lvl 1, good range, and nice-looking smoky effects. Plus it would be way too cheap if it had forward leveling.

Also, shouldn't this be in Cavestory discussion or something? Or do you really want a long list of short posts instead of full discussion?

 

Yeah it should be moved to the CS forum. Actually I think a similar thread (that has long been dead) exists there. Maybe this should be merged into that one.

Anyways, I don't like the Nemesis. It levels down and does pretty much the same as the machine gun, except it doesn't let you fly.

Blade (lvl 3 is uber-cool, and level 2 can be really useful vs. bosses)
And Bubbles. Got charm and many weird uses (against the big ghosts of the outer wall and those bouncy annoying yellow things that come there too, it really rocks).

 

Why the frick is it in the Games? I tried to put it in the Dicussion forum. I shall attempt to move it.

And so this post is actually meaningful, I really love the super missiles except for the whole "limited ammo" thing, so m'eh...

 

How about this. It's a hack I made awhile back where your only weapon is Super Missile. Infinite ammo, plus some slight plot deviation (I had just learned the <QUA command and wanted to use it). Otherwise it's the exact same as Cave Story.
