Event Words!

I just found out that you can use words as event # as long as there in alphabetical order!

I was haveing trouble with a gliched event # so I jokeingly put in "cats" as my event # & to my amazement it actually worked!

 

That's really, really cool, and I can see it really helping for some people.

I think the word events and flags tend to glitch less often than the number ones however the only proof I have of this is that a word event number did'nt glitch when I tried countless number event numbers that did

<FL+ and <FLJ as well.

For anyone who's worried about their flags conflicting with the original cavestory's, this should come in very handy.

Profile.dat can only save flags 0000-7999. There's plenty of space, though. If you start at 5000 and seperate them by sections, like the existing flags, you should have enough for anything.

yes and it's also easier to remember what they do by words instead of numbers
