Hi Guys.
I posted a thread about this way back when it was still in development, but since it is now out on Steam I think it's time create a new one.
As it says in the title, Cave Story was a major inspiration when designing this game, particularly in its themes and in how your choices can alter how events play out (although Dragon's Wake is less nonsensical
).One of the challenges I set for myself when I designed Dragon's Wake was to tell a compelling story purely through the gameplay instead of using dialogue or cutscenes in order to create a more engaging and immersive experience. I like to think that I succeeded, but that's something for each player to decide for themselves.
It only came out on Steam a few days ago and is selling for less than 4$. I hope you guys will love it as much as I do.
