The trouble with the ignore feature is a) some clients don't have it, b) you miss useful contributions by the people you're ignoring, and c) you only see one side of conversations between someone on your ignore list and someone not on it.xristosx said:

Not on Windows. But someone did compile the source and is giving out a free version.

I type in chat.mibbit.com because I have a Mibbit account so I do sweet things like auto-join and remove annoying features from the GUI.

yeah, okay, say their channel will be "boring" even though you're one of the reasons #doukutsu is boring in that you go afk for huge amounts of time, come back, whine that the chat was at all active in your absence, and log off. And plenty of other people were like that in a similar way, like, "there's too much talking going on" or "you guys aren't talking about what I want to talk about", which is exactly why I never use #doukutsu.
Is #curlybrace bad like that? Or is it already dead since this thread was posted? Should I check it out?

Well, I meant, has it gone from very active to very non-active in the timespan of the thread, not this moment in the day particularly. I don't expect anything on the entire internet to be active pretty much until after 6PM EST or so..
I guess I could look at it. When are people usually on?

Also, #curlybrace has about the same people as #Doukutsu, it's just more active and there's no trolling when an op that's not Fire is around. For all intents and purposes, they're the same channels, only #curlybrace is elitist.
