CSTSF 2016 Modding Competition Discussion & Submission Thread

Don't forget that a lot of people also decided to give up(partially due to time constraints).

Weird that twice I said I'll leave due to technical difficulties, and yet for some odd reason, I'm still in.

 

Alright everyone, in order to gauge how we're all going I've thrown a poll up. While we don't want to be too lenient and let this drag on forever, there's been no lack of effort going in and it'd be a shame to have most of the entries incomplete or not even submitted. If most of y'all are good on time nothing will have to change but the buzz I've been hearing isn't quite so certain

 

My mod will be set for July 7th.

though maybe I can submit a demo of my new Mazinger Z mod for the competition. though the only original thing about that would be custom sprite work.

Actually, @zxin is correct. If you started work on the mod before the contest, it is not allowed to be submitted. The resource rule only applies to individual components like music, artwork, etc. Not entire mods.

I've been having motivational issues lately, I haven't been in the best health or state of mind to work on anything lately.

 

I have a demo for my mod. I'll post that. The wait will drive me crazy.

Assuming the votes stay the same, there's going to be an extension of 4-7 days. That should give you the rest of the week at the very least. DT and I are gonna be discussing it tonight and finalizing the true deadline.

 

DEADLINE UPDATE: More of you guys have voted for an extension instead of against it, and 4-7 days got the most votes, so the deadline has been extended by another week. This means the OFFICIAL SUPER PERMANENT FINAL DEADLINE is Thursday, July 14th 11:59PM EST. Even though the deadline is extended, I do encourage you to submit it as early as possible! Good luck.

 

Although I could have survived with the existing deadline, I might take an extra day or two to put some spit n' polish on it. I'll probably post "whatever I have" on the day of the original deadline just to see how it would have ended up.
