Please give, AND receive criticism gracefully and without unnecessarily rude comments or you will be asked to remove yourself by my fist as it removes you forcefully.
Remember modding is as much art as it is nerdshit so there is a certain degree of subjectivity inherent.

Stove is dead. I had to take a two week hiatus due to the yearly migration to Ohio and back, so I only have a few days left to work on it. It may be revived sometime, but I'm not sure.

@TLincoln I played The Final Level. Here is my review (I wrote the first part as I played, the second part was after finishing it).

I can immediately say that the art is very good. It's pleasing to look at and blends well together. There's no clashing color and everything looks seamless. Well done.

Some of the dialogue during the story is a little confusing and poorly worded, and the syntax confuses me as well.

I think you should make the =Battle Outfit= and equippable/unequippable item, or at least have it in the inventory.

#IKACHAN REFERENCE IN THE SPACE ART

Oh.... Pulse has some DANK BASS added to it...

The lightning gun says I lost it but then got it back... when did I lose it?

If I had a nickel for every time I accidentally fired the missile launcher and had to reset... you shouldn't let the player fire it until they face Mitch.

Also, Mitch is @Aar I'm calling it now.

The lasers after the first save point go A LITTLE fast. You often get hit by them just from moving slightly left or right and losing to much momentum due to the physics..

This was a fun and pretty challenging mod. The unique boss at the end was excellent. 8.5/10, would play again.

A few notes on The Final Level:
Basically the same as @SuperJaws100, such as the battle outfit not being an item.
Nice flying shooting Gaudis. Did you make it yourself? BTW their projectiles are broken and don't spin
On the way down from the second save point, the TSC event enables you to stand on the lasers until the event stops. You could probably use timer NPCs I made for that.

Basically, NPC 357 (Ghost Puppy) will now become an invisible entity that waits a number of frames equal to its entity ID (Viewed on map editor), then teleports to where Quote is, and stays on Quote until it is deleted. You could have multiple null entities with an entity ID of something, then have them wait a few seconds before teleporting to Quote, having 'Run event on contact' flag 100 set, running an event that deletes one of them, initiates the next wait entity, and activates one of the lasers.
Just a suggestion to fix standing on lasers.
Also the lasers look awkward. Maybe have them buzz like the forcefield entities?
During the second boss fight, something keeps running TSC events and breaking invincibility...

A mod with a great story, although maybe you should at least make a good ending...

I pretty much just reskinned the Basus from the Egg Corridor? area. I thought their projectiles were spinning, though.
although maybe you should at least make a good ending...
I do have plans for the characters in Final Level, now's not the time to execute the plans just yet...

I thought I'd try to throw something in for this competition, and while I doubt that it will win anything, I worked hard on it, and that's what matters.

The mod is called "Cave Story: What To Do When Modding," with the idea behind it being to be sort of a mini-guide for people who are getting into modding, giving them a few basic pointers on what to do. There are also some local memes scattered about for the people who have been around here awhile.

As of now (July 9th, 2016), the mod is finished, although I was unable to get an .ORG file that I made to work with it. If I make updates to this mod, it's because I fixed some issues, or becuase I added some extra bits that I wanted to add.
