Yea there is no way to make it "hacker-proof" since as long as it's there it can be broken. Plus there shouldn't be too many people who would want to break the game with *evil intent*.

I wouldn't worry too much about releasing the source too, since it looks like you won't be making any capital off of this.

well if there is the damage system is going to have to be different them, no more invinciblity after being hit, or there will?

You do realize that deathmatch means 1 hit, 1 kill? In otherwords, if you get hit in deathmatch, you die no matter what.

That is what I believe xristosx is referring to.

Unless, that is, you have something else planned for it.

You gotta have swarms of players being all "OMG!! GETTHEHEARTGETTHEHEART"

then people will just get the machine gun and just spam, instead of having any strategy .-.,
i just think people might have to have a decent amount of health or something to solve this

Very limited ammo on weapons other than the Polar Star.

Player and enemy health values at new highs, weapon damage values at all-time lows. You need to actually fight them, not "find the best weapon and shoot them as you run by."

Pfff, boring.

Well, there's always the option of modified/new weapons. {Modified as in, more than simple damage and ammo changes}
You'd be building them to fit the gameplay, levels, and everything else; instead of the more difficult other way around.

Kay, deathmatch would only be against players of your HP level.
or maybe normal level.

Yeah. But right now, it takes 3 lv1 fireballs to kill a mimiga.

New guns are already in.

To all:
We've already disscussed how fighting enemies would work, either they come in numbers or they are powerful.

level systems in FPS-type online games are a big no. especially since you can only shoot in 4 different directions in CS disregarding momentum, and that would mean whoever has been playing for longer can spam the other person's face with missles or something and win.
regardless of that's how it would be anyway, except instead of who's played longer it would be the person who can mash buttons faster.

Then if you hit buttons too fast, your gun would overheat and become jammed...

And Missle launcher is not super and is limited to five ammo and can only be shot once at a time.
