hello! this is cave story jukebox, a mod I made in less than a day. It allows you to hear all 41 songs from cave story in a (not very) easy to navigate menu.

Downloads:

update notes:
Mod was released
White was added to the song list
revealed secret story
added quest in secret story
added a ton of flags
-Advanced storyline
-added so many flags i lost count
-did some renovations
-mimigas have become lazy
-storyline has actually progressed.
- more renovations
-squished some bugs
-fixed small speech error
-allowed players to actually complete the storyline(finally)

you guys don't need any screenshots, the game is literally 1 screen

I don't have the time to look at this right now in detail, but is there more to it than just listening the music?
Because OrgView would be better for that due to cave story being unable to play music when running in the background (unless you edited that). (Please don't see this as rude, I can get that you put a bit of effort ib this)

I really put very little effort into this. Please don't worry about critisising it. I may eventually add a secret story activated by interacting with certain objects, but for now it's just the music.

I gotta say, I was surprised the way it turned out, I expected a bunch of menus, but hey it does it's job. I like the idea of going to a radio and then playing the song. I'm glad the order goes from when the songs were put in the coding like the 3DS' jukebox version of Cavestory. A few gripes though: 1. No white (King's theme), a personal nitpick but it's in the files and one of my favorite songs in the soundtrack, I speculate it's just because there would be an unequal amount of signs or something? Not sure. 2. It wouldn't seem very useful; the whole thing pretty much consists of this one like of code:
#200-(something) <KEY<CMU0000<MSGPressed a button on the sign. The jukebox started playing (Insert song here) <NOD<CLR<CLO<CMU00-(Song's in code number)<END
and going off that, I could just look up the songs or go to the 'Dou_bgm' from the tribute site.
3. When listening, it'd be fine for something like doing homework, but in most cases I'm doing stuff on my computer, and it wouldn't work, I would just be using youtube or the Org player.
But nonetheless still a good mod; I give it a solid 7.

I swear i put white in there.... I'll set it to one of the bottom jukeboxes and re-upload it.

Pretty cool, though I wasn't smart enough to figure out how to start the storyline. Other than that, though, I can't really see a reason to use this over Org View.

Don't worry, it's actually quite hard to find it.
go right of the jukebox and press down repeatedly. By the time you reach the right wall, you will have found it.

also, you pass through doors without opening them because you're the odd jobs man and that's what you do.
I, mean
you actually go through a wall at the start of the storyline

Also, don't use <TUR and ='s together, <TUR prevents ='s from turning into the circles.

I turned on some music, or as the people in Green-Tinged (what does that even mean?) Villiage[sic], I fixed the speaker system.

Thanks, that'll make it a bit easier to isolate the problem. Also green tinged means sort of coated in green. It's a little joke based on the fact everything is green.
