GENERAL INFO
Cave Story: Tale Of The Broxxus is a old mod project that was posted back in May 2009. Some people could say that this is a paradoxic "reincarnation" of the mod. Tale Of The Broxxus has gone through many versions, with the story changing constantly, etc. This is the only build that will stay the same, no matter how long it lives. Alot of people have been wondering where Tale Of The Broxxus went, same for Path Of Ruin. The reason why these mods are missing is because I didn't want to mod anymore, also thinking that I never get anymore feedback doing so.

What is Tale Of The Broxxus?
In Tale Of The Broxxus, you play as a Mimiga who has a traumatic sense that the Island is crumbling. (This takes place before the Normal ending, sometime where Quote is sleeping in Momorin's hideout.) Without hesitating, you plan your escape by leaving through the Balcony. However, the entrance to the Balcony is mysteriously blocked off. Words speak behind you: "I see you want to leave this Island, young one...."

If you're bringing this back, are you continuing with what you have now? or..
No. This is a complete revamp. However, I am bringing back the old and new features that all the versions of what Broxxus had before, and mixing it up all together into one. In addition, all of the characters you have met in the past versions will appear again.

Where in the hell is Path Of Ruin?
That mod is currently disabled from being worked on. I would rather make brand new zones and characters other than re-working Mimiga Island on it's past. If you want what I have left of Path Of Ruin, you can private message me. PLEASE DO NOT DISCUSS PATH OF RUIN ON THIS THREAD.

Not yet. I just wanted to make this thread to get it over with. I'm sorry if this is breaking the rules.

I'm sad I only played V1.0 of the old one.
But I'm also happy there's a new one,
so overall I'm of a middling disposition.

Yes. makes me want to start making maps, even with no prior knowledge of modding. (well, i do play around with a mixture of Sue's Workshop and Cave Editor occasionally.)

Holy hand grenade inna handbasket. It's back. AWSOME! I've been waiting to play this again. I hope the new version is even more awsome than the last. From the WIP screen shots, this may very well be.

Ask a dev for release dates or percentages and he will honestly answer "I don't know". There are numerous factors that can increase and reduce development time and make any prediction prove to be incorrect. You might say "give me your best guess", but that doesn't stop people from holding you to that date when it comes around (look at CSWii, people were holding Nicalis to a release date that was actually a date for something else entirely). Percentages are just as bad because if it took you 9 months to get to what was supposedly 72%, yet take a year and a half to reach 100% then n00bs are only going to complain about how the game was "supposed to be finished" 15 months ago. Confining yourself to a deadline is not something you would want to do for something mostly meant as a hobby. Asking about progress in other terms such as what has been done or is left to do is a better idea because you can then make your own judgements about progress.

You misspelt release btw.

By using Cave editor for the entities and Sue's Workshop for the maps themselves. I have recently stopped using Sue's Workshop, though.
And Andwhyisit, I was kidding around about the release date.

A new remix of Broxxus? Can`t wait for it:) If you take the trouble to work on it why not finish it with the same stroke? You worked on this so much...that would crown your efforts and make us - players - happy.

Idea:
You could host your mod at some freeware game hosting sites, maybe it is legal if you emphasize that it`s a mod and not your own game. That would give you additional support.

Sadly, I cannot tell you. You would have to wait until the mod comes out.
If you played the old broxxus, you would probably know what he is.
