Made this a while ago, posted it here but it was apparently forgotten.

I've been using it as the album art for like 5ever and will be very sad if it does not become official

Oh boy, ANOTHER moon song remix.

But it sounds good, I didn't hear anything particularily wrong or anything that needed fixing in it. Good job.

Just wanted to say this because I didn't know this thread was still going on.

Personally I love all the music that has been made for the album(s), I actually play tracks that go with a certain theme while I'm working on my mod to get myself in the mood. Same thing with level design and for writing the (non-technical) script. It actually has played with my feelings several times and they have helped in the process of making everything. Thanks to all the contributors for making this, as I'm definitely enjoying it.

Also Otemoto, liking this remix. The use of piano has been there before in other Moonsong remixes, but you do a good job with it along with the other instruments. Probably going to download this on to my MP3 player to add to the CSRP2 Albums/Moonsong playlist.

Just wanted to inform you, that the Tile 44 directlink mirror is back up (I also droped Wedge a message on FB). It might take up to 24 hours until everything works though.

There are already many Pixel-made versions of nearly every song in Cave Story. They are on the tribute site.

@ otemoto-dansei-ningen:
I hope you don't mind that I did a remaster which makes it much closer to standard loudness and clears up some things just a tad so that instruments are heard more clearly as well:

It was just too beautiful and I wanted to try to enhance it a bit. :)

@ MrLog:
Looks like he used FL Studio, as the info from the MP3 file shows the encoder was FL Studio.

That's really good.

I like how smooth it is, especially the violins.

(other then the fact that there are already to many moonsong remixes)

Hey all you mofos - just wanted to let you know that I'm not dead, and neither is this project. I'll be doing a small update to the project in the next few days, consisting of the following:

The Journey Goes On has been reworked to be better arranged, better performed, and better produced.

Our very own Dunc2403 has recorded himself doing the vocals for Soldier's Prayer, and has done a much better job than the previous person who did them.

I just realized that I'm a terrible person and never got around to including otemoto's awesome Moonsong remix.

On the last of those three things, I'd like a bit of feedback, since otemoto him/herself doesn't seem to be active and around to give it. Firstly, the remix needs a title. Secondly, it needs to be put in an album. The most obvious thing would be to put it in the Bonus Album, except that LITERALLY MORE THAN HALF of the remixes currently in the Bonus Album already involve Moonsong. The next most obvious thing would be to put it in Azure Resonance, but that one already has the most remixes of any album. It wouldn't really make sense in Choirs of Demons, but it could work in Dreams of a Chiller Time. Another option, if we're worried about Azure Resonance having too many remixes, would be to put the new Moonsong remix there, and move one of the existing Azure Resonance remixes to a different album. For example, Cosmic Corridor could go to Dreams of a Chiller Time, or King or Interruption could go to Choirs of Demons.

Thoughts?

Also, further down the road, I'm intending to significantly rework most of my remixes. Right now they're mostly well composed, but poorly produced, and I've since gotten much better at the production side of things (case in point: this remix of some tunes the older forum members might recognize).

Hey, maybe I should actually finish a remix like I said I would since we started this.

Also, welcome back WoC. Good to see you're still around.

Alright, the website is now updated with the new TJGO, the new Soldier's Prayer, and otemoto's Moonsong remix, which I have decided to call "Moonlit Venture". I've put it in Azure Resonance, in the spot where Interruption used to be, and moved Interruption to Choirs of Demons. I'm just waiting on the full album zip files to finish uploading, which my computer tells me will happen in about 15 minutes.
