That's nice, I now can play CS+ on my PC, without a $15 paywall, and now i also have an excuse to make an Epic account.

Wait a minute, cse2 gets taken down, then nicalis's own version becomes free in 5 days, Kinda suspicious.

 

$10 CS+ before the price increase gang, rise up! Like CS+'s price

 

I'm curios if they'll edit it to use the new Nicalis logo and change the copy right dates in the credits.

They usually have one free game at a time that rotates every 2 weeks or so. This is setup months in advance. Nicalis wouldn't be able to have EG do this on a whim.

Challenge accepted. I'm going to be visiting my parents soon for Christmas, and they have a Windows 98 Computer with a Pentium III processor that still works, so I can try it on that. I actually ran the original Cave Story on it back in 2013, and it runs at 50 FPS. I don't believe I ever tried CS+ on it, but I remember trying WTF? Story on it, and the graphics were badly garbled for some reason, and the framerate was at least cut in half. I'll report back when I get the chance.

Tbh, I can care less if it's the same as the Steam port, I'm just PRAYING it saves Nikumaru times instead of crashing and having all times set to 99'59"9

I can confirm that they've updated their logo in the title screen in this version. Not sure yet about the copyright date(s) in the credits.

I do wish that they would have gone ahead and fixed that screen cut-off problem in this version, it's a bother to set the EXE to run in 640X480. Oh well, still enjoyable.

I Did It On a Windows Millennium Edition Virtual Machine And I Couldn't Even Open The Epic Store, And When I Moved The Cave Story+ File via. My Real Computer, The Game Ran On 5 FPS And I Couldn't Reach Igor, Mostly Because Of The Input Lag, And The Fact That It Keeps Crashing Before I Reach Egg Number 05.
