Can you stop assuming the worst after every single month-long interval, because it's probably the exact same case as the last time you thought the project was dead.
But, it's been 2 months :pignon2: (I bet he doesn't answer my beckoning call)

AMBUSH! :toroko:

Yeah, please assume that this project is still ongoing unless I post otherwise.

Game design is a long road, especially because I'm teaching myself as I go, and working on many other projects. Right now I'm interviewing Game Designers (posting the interviews at andhegames.com) to teach myself how to better develop games, reading countless blogs, and making simple games that will help hone my game design skills. I'm learning to break games apart, learn about their mechanics, and put them back together. I want this card game to move forward, but I want it to move forward right, and that means teaching myself how to make games well.

I'm really glad that you're so enthusiastic about this. If you have design/web/marketing/enthusiasm skills that you would like to contribute to the process, PM me! Your help would make this move faster. It's gonna happen, it's gonna be slow, and it's gonna be awesome.

I like the concept of the card game. I thought it would be pretty hard, but it seems like a great system. A suggestion that you have the right to completely disregard, but once it's finished, Maybe you could get permission from modders to have sets based on their mods? I know it would be more work and all, but I know some people from my school that make these epic drawings of random stuff people ask them to make, and they always do an excellent job. If you do take this and implement this, you would already have my permission.

Keep in mind that the cards from the first post are based on an outdated ruleset. The current cards haven't been released yet.

Hello again! Sporadic updates happen when you're working hard. :)

In and around my other projects, I've been making good progress on this game! I'm now doing some play testing, and I'll have an update in the next few days.

Woot!

If there is a transparent base for the cards, I would help without a doubt. This is a good idea, I would make my own - but obvously this one will succeed. So I'll just wait it out and see.

Edit: By my own, I mean my own Cave Story Card game... As I said, this one is more likely to succeed.

Making TCG cards is easy. Making a playable TCG is hard. Rulebuilding, balancing, and playtesting will be 90% of the work you do. The actual cards don't come until the end. If you can't be critical of your own work and/or aren't patient then it probably won't work out.

But that said if you understand all that and still want to do it then figure out the basic rules of play and make a new thread. Who cases if someone else is doing it, make your own version of a CS TCG if you want.

If you make this I will personally make sure everyone I know is playing this.

It's indepth, looks fun and generally sounds like a blast.

10/10 would read post again
