That acronym doesn't help much, as its the same as the acronym for public beta. Plus it's hardly private, you just need ask on the right day.

On a little-known (In general) forum, for a game that some people don't even know exists, and you could still get told no.

I'd call that pretty private.

It is more of premise. You have to ask for entrance and there isn't 100% chance (as far as I know) of selection. Open (public) anyone can just download it indiscriminately or by just filling a form. Public/private, w/e, want more cave story :p

I've sent the final copy of the list now that I've finally heard back from everybody. Well, there were those two guys that made accounts to post their specs and never logged in again, but I don't see much sense in waiting for them.

Yall'd better do a good job :p
The original Cave Story had exactly zero bugs. We should all strive for such perfection.

Oh well, Definitely gonna grab the steam version of CS when it comes out.

He meant the PC version that Pixel released independently in 2004. The WiiWare release had bugs as well.
Don't get us started on the bugs.

I meant 1.0.0.6 because that's the final version of the original Cave Story. First releases can undergo revision.

I believe 1.0.0.7 is actually the most uptodate version.

At the very least, it used to exist, as pixel did have a link to it on his thingy, However, the link is broken now, so I can't vouch.

It was just a small bugfix to allow chinese characters to work properly, iirc.

It exists. It's just minor changes for translation purposes, it makes no difference to the game itself.

I might still have the exe lying around on my computer.

Yeah. The only people I didn't recieve anything from are zimachizen and Muuv Stehpah.
